Your business is running on Xero, four spreadsheets, and a group chat.
We help New Zealand SMEs replace the patchwork with Odoo — one ERP for sales, inventory, accounting, manufacturing, and HR. Fixed‑scope discovery, transparent pricing, and a local team that's done it before.
Sound familiar?
Most NZ SMEs hit the same wall around 25 staff.
Growth exposes the seams in your tooling. Customer service can't see inventory. Finance can't see committed orders. Ops can't see who's promised what to whom. The cost shows up as missed sales, write‑offs, and a team that's tired of doing manual work that software should be doing.
Quotes here. Invoices there. Stock in a spreadsheet.
Your team rekeys the same data into three systems and reconciles by hand. By the time anyone has a clear answer, the question has changed.
You've outgrown Xero. NetSuite quotes start at $40k a year.
There's a gap between accounting software and enterprise ERP. Most NZ SMEs sit in it for too long, taping over the cracks with apps and add‑ons.
You've Googled "Odoo" three times this month.
You suspect it's the answer. You're not sure where to start, who to trust, or how to scope it without a 200‑page consultancy proposal.
Why Odoo
The ERP that finally makes sense for businesses your size.
We're not Odoo evangelists. We've used it because it consistently solves the problem better than the alternatives at the SME end of the market. Here's what tends to matter once you've used it for a while.
One platform, 30+ modules
CRM, sales, inventory, manufacturing, accounting, HR, projects, field service, e‑commerce. Turn on what you need; leave the rest off.
Open source, no lock‑in
Odoo Community is open source. Even on Enterprise, your data stays portable and your modules are inspectable. No mystery roadmap, no per‑user gouging at renewal.
Pricing that scales sanely
Per‑user, per‑month — not per‑module. A 30‑person business pays a fraction of what NetSuite or SAP B1 cost, with the same operational coverage.
Plays nicely with your NZ stack
Xero migration, NZ Post and Starshipit shipping, GST 15% baked into tax rules, Stripe and Windcave for payments, Shopify and WooCommerce for storefronts.
Genuinely usable
Modern UI. Your warehouse team can pick on a phone. Your sales team can quote in three clicks. The interface is the reason staff actually adopt it.
Hosted however you want
Odoo Online for the simplest start, Odoo.sh for staged deployments and custom modules, or self‑hosted if you have a reason. We'll recommend, you decide.
Services
Everything from "should we?" to "five years in."
Most engagements start with a fixed‑scope discovery. Implementation, migration, and support follow only if it's the right call.
Discovery & ERP fit
A 1–2 week fixed‑scope engagement. We map your processes, current systems, data, and pain points, then deliver a written assessment with a recommendation, scoped phases, and a not‑to‑exceed implementation budget. If Odoo isn't the right fit, we tell you.
- Process & systems audit
- Module & licensing recommendation
- Phased implementation roadmap
- Fixed‑fee deliverable
Implementation
Configuration, integration, data migration, training, and go‑live support. We deliver in phases — usually a Phase 1 that gets you on a single source of truth quickly, then incremental modules from there.
- Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting
- Manufacturing, MRP, Quality
- HR, Payroll, Time‑off, Expenses
- Field service, Project, Helpdesk
Migration from Xero / MYOB
Chart of accounts, customers, suppliers, products, opening balances, historical transactions where it makes sense. We handle the data, the reconciliation, and the IRD‑facing pieces so your accountant stays happy.
- Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks
- GST setup & filing continuity
- Cutover plan with parallel run
- Accountant‑reviewed handover
Custom modules & integrations
When standard Odoo doesn't fit, we build. Custom modules in Python and OWL, REST and webhook integrations, and bespoke reports. We write code that survives Odoo version upgrades.
- Custom Odoo modules (Python/OWL)
- API & webhook integrations
- BI reports & dashboards
- Upgrade‑safe code patterns
Training & change management
Software changes nothing if your team won't use it. We run role‑based training, build internal champions, and produce documentation tailored to your processes — not generic Odoo screens.
- Role‑based training sessions
- Internal champion enablement
- Tailored process documentation
- Adoption metrics & follow‑up
Ongoing support
Monthly retainer or per‑incident. NZ business hours. We hold your version upgrades, build the next module phase when you're ready, and answer the questions your team will inevitably have at month two.
- NZ business hours support
- Version upgrade management
- Incremental module rollouts
- Quarterly health reviews
Industries
Built for the NZ businesses we know best.
We focus on the sectors where Odoo's modules genuinely earn their keep, and where a bad fit usually shows up early.
How we work
A process that respects your time and your budget.
Six phases. Fixed‑fee discovery before any commitment. Weekly demos, not big‑bang reveals. The goal isn't a beautiful project plan — it's a system your team uses next quarter.
Discovery
We map your current systems, processes, and data. You leave with a written assessment, a phased plan, and a not‑to‑exceed budget. No commitment to proceed.
Design
We turn the assessment into a configuration spec — modules, workflows, integrations, data model, user roles. You sign off before any build starts.
Build & configure
Configuration in a sandbox, custom modules where needed, integrations to your existing tools. Weekly demos. You see progress; you don't get a surprise at week eight.
Migrate & train
Data migration with a test run, role‑based training for your team, internal champions identified, documentation written. Cutover plan finalised.
Go‑live & hypercare
We're on‑hand from day one — fixing what wasn't quite right, answering questions, watching for adoption issues. Your team is using it for real, not playing in a sandbox.
Continuous improvement
Phase 2 modules, quarterly health reviews, version upgrades, new integrations as you grow. You're never left holding a system you can't change.
Why us
We've built this firm to be the consultant we wished we'd hired.
We'll tell you when Odoo isn't right.
If your business genuinely needs MYOB Advanced, NetSuite, or just a better Xero workflow, we'll say so in the discovery and refund the difference. We'd rather lose the project than ship the wrong system.
Fixed‑scope discovery before commitment.
$9,500 + GST gets you a written assessment, phased plan, and not‑to‑exceed budget. You decide whether to proceed with eyes open — no rolling time‑and‑materials, no scope creep tax.
We write code that survives upgrades.
Custom modules built the way Odoo wants them built — proper inheritance, no monkey‑patching, version‑safe. When Odoo 19 ships, your customisations come with you.
NZ‑based, NZ business hours.
Same timezone. Same GST and IRD context. Same understanding of how Xero migration actually works at year‑end. We're not a reseller fronting an offshore delivery team.
Honest about being new.
infiniti.nz is a new firm. The team behind it isn't — we've shipped ERP and integration work for NZ businesses for years. We've priced our discovery accordingly while we build a portfolio.
Transparent on pricing.
Implementation quotes are itemised by phase and module. Hourly rates published on request. Hosting, licensing, and support fees are pass‑through — we don't mark up Odoo's prices.
FAQ
The questions everyone asks first.
How much does an Odoo implementation actually cost?
For a typical NZ SME (10–80 staff) implementing Sales, Inventory, and Accounting on Odoo Online, total professional services land between $25,000 and $90,000 + GST depending on integrations and data complexity. Add Odoo licensing (~$31.10 NZD per user/month for Standard, ~$46.60 for Custom, as of 2026) and any hosting. Discovery is a fixed $9,500 + GST and you'll have a not‑to‑exceed implementation number before you commit further.
How long does it take?
Phase 1 is usually 8–16 weeks from kickoff to go‑live, depending on scope, data state, and how decisive your team can be in workshops. Manufacturing and multi‑warehouse setups push longer. We'd rather under‑promise; the failure mode for ERP projects is overcommitting.
Should we use Odoo Community, Enterprise, or Odoo.sh?
Most SMEs are best on Odoo Enterprise, hosted on Odoo Online (zero ops) or Odoo.sh (staged deploys, custom modules, GitHub integration). Community is genuinely free but gives up Studio, Helpdesk, MRP, accounting, and several other modules — usually a false economy once you cost the lost capability. We recommend per project in discovery.
Can we keep using Xero?
Yes — there are two paths. Either Odoo runs operations (CRM, sales, inventory, manufacturing) and pushes invoices to Xero for accounting, or Odoo replaces Xero entirely and your accountant works in Odoo. Both work in NZ. We'll model the trade‑offs in discovery — usually it comes down to how attached your accountant is to Xero.
What about GST and IRD compliance?
Odoo handles 15% GST out of the box and we configure tax rules per IRD requirements. GST returns can be exported in the format your accountant or IRD myIR needs. We've done it before; it's not a project risk.
Do you host Odoo for us, or do we?
Whatever fits. Odoo Online is the simplest — Odoo runs everything, we configure. Odoo.sh adds staging environments and custom modules. Self‑hosted (on your VPS or a NZ provider) is for businesses with specific data sovereignty or integration needs. We'll recommend based on your situation, not our margin.
What if we change our mind mid‑project?
Phased delivery is designed for this. After each phase you decide whether to continue, pause, or pivot. We bill per phase against the not‑to‑exceed budget; you don't pay for work you don't get.
We're outside Auckland — does that matter?
No. Most of the work is remote: workshops over Google Meet, demos, async progress updates. We do on‑site discovery and training visits when it adds value, billed at cost.
Get in touch
Let's see if Odoo is right for you.
A 30‑minute discovery call. No deck, no sales pitch — we'll ask about your current systems, what's hurting, and what good looks like. By the end you'll know whether a paid discovery makes sense.
